I called him 2-18-08, we talked for about 30 min. Nice guy, no intentions of using the house. Lots of memories but will most likely sell his house (the one on the left with the pier)when mom is gone. Mom is now in hospice care.
Presently renting to Dave McKay who works for the county. Seems both houses are sharing a water well therefore we may need to drill own well. There is 20 acres across the road from these 2 houses. The 1st 10 is his, the back 10 belongs to the 5 grandkids. He was thinking of removing the house and using the land and pier as “common” area for the 10 acres across the road. Subdivide into 3 or 4 sections and sell with “common” area. Good idea.
His sister, Pam Glynn (Mike Appling first wife), lives in Sugarland, teaches school and watches after mom. Pam and Russell are approaching mid 60’s.
Her house is on the right, small, and no pier. Presently having trouble with renter. I plan on calling her this around 7pm (best time according to Russell). I called her 2-20-08 6:35pm. She said she would talk to her husband and I was first on the list. She may need to evict her renter and I could move in. We discussed (same with Russell) about me paying 5 to 10K for the option of buying once we agreed on a price. I would then be able to move in and start work on the house. Then when the time came she would sell it to me.
